My name is Pugus Maximus, but you can call me Max.
This is my story.
I am a 12 week old 8 pound Black Pug. I was born in Bakersfield, CA on May 21st 2007. Ever since I was born I lived in Bakersfield California with my mother “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” I'm not sure what that’s all about, I just called her mom and there were lots of other little Pug playmates.
That was until last Saturday when a most interesting thing happened to me. It was around 11:00 in the morning, we were all playing and running when I heard a knock at our front door, then I heard my 2 aunts Carol and Jan talking with someone. A man and women came over to where we were all playing and looked in our window. We all stopped and turned to see what was going on. I was near the pool table and I stopped, sat down and looked right at them. I could see they were looking right at me and they were pointing my way and smiling. I got so excited, I hoped that these were the people that my aunt had told me about this morning when I woke up. She told me that someone was driving (I’m not sure what that is) from far away to come look at me and if they liked me I could go home with them. I couldn’t believe it maybe they came all this way to take me home with them and to love me forever. I really wanted them to like me!
That’s when my aunt Carole came into our play area and got me. Now I was really excited and started to run all over and show them how fast I was. I’m still not too coordinated, but I showed them my very best pug piggy run. I rolled over and played chase with my mom and they both got down on the floor and played with my mom and me. I had so much fun I even rolled over and showed them my tummy. I think that might have done it. It was fun, I love to play. I thought I might have a chance of going home with them by the way they held me and kissed me. I liked it. I liked them and really wanted to go home with them.
All of a sudden my aunt Carole gave my new mom and dad some papers and a bag of food, there were some goodbyes and my aunt Jan took a couple of pictures, we said goodbye again and we were going out the front door. We were getting in a car. We were driving. Wow!
Well as they say the rest is history.
There is much more to my story, but I am getting a little sleepy and need to take a nap.
One last thing before I nod off. On the way to my new home my new parents told me about my older step brother, an 11 ½ year old Black Pug named Rocky. They told me that they had picked him up when he was just like me a little puppy. They told me that they loved Rocky very much for all of his life and they missed him. Then they said that last week Rocky went to the Rainbow Bridge where he would playing and waiting for us. They were crying and telling me about all of the great times they had with Rocky. They told me that he would be looking out for me and that made me feel good. After that I did some of my very best Pug stuff to make them smile and they did.
When I wake up I am going to find out more about Rocky and I think I will chew on some stuff. I think I have to learn to walk with a leash. I will let you how that goes.
Bye,
Max

Max,
I can't wait to play together, we will run and chase eachother.Off course I will have to stop growling first - but I am still confused as to where Rocky is and who you are. My mommy and daddy tell me I will grow to love you almost like I loved my Rocky. Love, your cousin Luca ( the white chihuahua)
Hi Max! I'm so glad you found a great new home and got a blog! I was very sad when I heard about Rocky from your niece Cairo. I loved seeing those two together.
Be nice to little Cairo - she is my girlfriend!
Nice to meet you, check you later!
Hey Max,
Did you hear that I am going to be staying with you in October when my mom and dad go on a cruise? We'll have so much fun together. Hopefully you'll be big enough to play by that time - I want to teach you how to catch a frisbee!
Max, we really miss you but we know you have a wonderful mom and dad and that makes us so happy. You are going to have such a good life and so much fun. We hope we will see you at some dog shows when your friend (she doesn't have a name yet) is showing. We will let you know when to look for her.
Aunt Carole and Aunt Jan
Welcome, Max! Cairo told us about her new uncle and we had to come visit. Cairo is the coolest dog around so you will learn some wonderful things from her. Can't wait to read more about you.
